Our expertise encompasses a wide range of projects, from private homes to commercial retrofits, as well as larger, mixed-use, community-led and cultural developments, comprising both new build and renovation.

At JAR Studio, we specialise in private residential architecture, emphasising a client-focused, collaborative process. We prioritise functional, sensitive, and experiential design, placing these principles at the core of every project we undertake.

    Complete remodel of existing two bed bungalow located in the South Hams, to deliver a four bedroom family home.

  • 6 Broadway Market Mews

    Refurbishment of existing artist studio at ground floor and construction of a first floor extension to provide a new studio flat.

    Refurbishment of an existing shop and flat above, and construction of a rear extension to provide an additional flat.

  • Muse House

    Extensive renovation and extension of a victorian terraced home in a Conservation Area.

  • Eco-Visionaries

    Exhibition design and delivery for the Royal Academy of Arts, London.

  • Carlton + Granville

    An ensemble of new and retrofit buildings, centred around a socially inclusive public realm, to provide social infrastructure, community space and housing.

  • The Buller's Arms Pub

    Planning approval obtained for the extension and remodel of a much loved village pub in East Cornwall, to include a new two bedroom cottage.

  • Shrewsbury Potager

    Design and delivery of a residential front garden to introduce a thriving and productive growing space.

  • Bermondsey Yard

    An industrial led, mixed-use scheme providing housing, commercial space and light industrial units.

  • Southbank Apartments

    Design of an auditorium, teaching spaces and apartments for London’s Southbank University.
